About the event
This yearly event is held on the opening day of fishing season, this year it’s on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
This family-friendly derby is for kids 15 and under, and is hosted at Smallwood Park (436th St E, Eatonville, WA 98328).
It runs from first light until 10:00am. Kids need to bring their own rod and tackle and such, and the Club gives a prize for the biggest fish every hour and a grand prize for the biggest fish of the day, a bicycle! The pond is stocked with roughly 500 12”-16” Rainbow Trout, so bring the kids and come on down, we’ll give you a free cup of cocoa and some pancakes!
